Team Challenge Info
The Team Challenge provides a great opportunity for groups from businesses, non-profits, clubs and affiliations of every size to show their colors and build organizational pride. Team Challenge participants will be talking about their shared experience and reliving their group achievement for weeks. Given the lure of award recognition for both individual performance and for top combined-time team finishers—all based on chip-timed results—and the appeal of its flat roadways, scenic panoramas and festive post-Race party, the Rocky Neck 5K is a wonderful way for individuals of all ages and teams of all stripes to get a jump on and tune up for summer fun.
Any group can participate in the Rocky Neck 5K Team Challenge. Team members register individually online, designating team affiliation on the registration form. Three or more participants can constitute a team, with no limit on the number of participants each team can have. Friends and family as well as employees can participate as a team. Team results will be based on top three runners’ combined times. In addition to the fun that comes from the shared experience of team participation, the Top Team performance will be formally recognized by one and all during the post–Race awards ceremony at The Studio.
There will be a designated team/company area at the park along Rocky Neck Causeway for teams to set up tables, banners, canopies, etc. for bags and essentials. Some will keep a low profile and, of course, others will be very boisterous and seize the moment.
